The
course leads to employment in fabrication; manufacturing; mechanical;
aeroskills; metal machining; transport equipment; electrical/electronics(course
under review); industrial machinery; technician services; drawing,
drafting and design industries.
Students must do a minimum of 35 hours in the workplace for each
120 hours (2u x 1yr) of study.
The course is based on the Metal and Engineering Training Package.
Qualifications are from Statement of Attainment, to AQF certificate
I in Engineering. Students studying extensions may be eligible for
an AQF Certificate II in Engineering with credit towards AQF Certificate
III in Engineering. These are recognised Australia wide.
